10. Alghero to Bosa, Sardinia, Italy – A stunning coastal ride
The coastal road between Alghero and Bosa is one of the most scenic motorcycle routes in Sardinia. Expect plenty of twists and turns, dramatic cliffs and beautiful Mediterranean views. Sardinia itself is fantastic for a motorcycle road trip, but this route is a real highlight.

9. Picos de Europa, Spain – Mountain roads without the crowds
Located in northern Spain, the Picos de Europa is a fantastic alternative to some of Europe's busier mountain destinations. With winding roads, dramatic peaks and incredible scenery, it's perfect for a motorcycle adventure through Spain.

8. Amalfi Coast, Italy – An iconic Italian road trip
The Amalfi Coast is famous for its cliffside roads, colourful villages and spectacular views over the Mediterranean. Riding from Amalfi towards Positano gives you a completely different perspective of this beautiful part of Italy. Just be prepared for narrow roads and plenty of traffic during the busy season!

7. Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland – An epic coastal adventure
Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way is one of Europe's ultimate coastal road trips. Stretching for around 2,500km along the west coast, it takes you through Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Clare, Kerry and Cork.
For motorcyclists, it's hard to beat the combination of winding roads, rugged coastline, beaches and tiny Irish villages. You can tackle the entire route or choose a section and take your time exploring.

6. Transalpina, Romania – Ride through the Carpathians
The Transalpina is one of Romania's most spectacular mountain roads. Winding through the Carpathian Mountains, this route offers incredible views and a real sense of adventure. It's also worth adding the nearby Transfăgărășan to your motorcycle itinerary.

5. Ring Road, Iceland – Explore Iceland by motorcycle
Iceland's Ring Road takes you around the country, passing volcanoes, waterfalls, glaciers, black-sand beaches and some seriously impressive landscapes. You can hire a motorcycle in Reykjavík and explore independently or join a guided motorcycle tour.

4. Swiss Alps, Switzerland – A motorcyclist's dream
The Swiss Alps are home to some of Europe's most spectacular mountain passes. Expect dramatic peaks, winding roads, beautiful valleys and panoramic views around almost every corner. If mountain riding is your thing, Switzerland is a must.

3. North Coast 500, Scotland – A wild Scottish road trip
Scotland's North Coast 500 (NC500) is one of the UK's best motorcycle road trips. The route takes you through the Scottish Highlands, past mountains, beaches, lochs and remote landscapes. It's a fantastic choice if you're looking for an unforgettable motorcycle tour close to home.

2. Atlantic Road, Norway – Ride above the ocean
Norway's Atlantic Road is one of Europe's most unusual scenic routes. The road jumps between islands and bridges along the Atlantic coast, creating incredible views and an unforgettable riding experience. And while you're in Norway, there are plenty more scenic roads and fjords to explore.

1. Trans Euro Trail – Europe's ultimate adventure
For something a little more adventurous, check out the Trans Euro Trail (TET). Covering thousands of kilometres across Europe, this network of mainly unpaved routes is perfect for adventure motorcyclists looking to get off the beaten track.
You don't have to ride the entire trail either. Choose a country or section that appeals to you and create your own European motorcycle adventure.
